Need New Simple Tech Ex. HD Power Supply

Feb 11, 2007 7:18AM PST

I had a power surge in my apartment that destroyed the power supply to my Simple Tech External Hard drive, and I have been having a really hard time finding a replacement. I called tech support, and they told me to go to Radio Shack. I went to two different stores but they didn't have anything that would work.

The power supply must be 12V and 1.5 A. The rep also said it must be "Center Pin Positive", but I'm not sure what that means...Can someone please help me?!?! Thanks!

Power Supply for Simpletech Ex. HD

I found this one:

The problem is I have no idea how to ensure that the jack will fit snugly into the DC power jack on the unit...

Links to something that will work would be great!

For less than the price of the replacement adapter, you could purchase a new external enclosure with its own power supply adapter.
