Need new laptop for moderate gaming and web design

Nov 23, 2011 6:51AM PST

I am looking into buying a new PC laptop. I do some web design and will
probably be doing some moderate gaming as well. Here are the specs for the game I'm mainly going to be playing (Star Wars The Old Republic):

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz or better
OS: Windows XP or later
RAM: Windows XP: 1.5GB RAM, Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB RAM
Video card: ATI X1800 or better, nVidia 7800 or better, Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better
DVD-ROM drive - 8x speed or better

I currently have a Dell XPS M1530 and I am really NOT interested in
investing in another Dell. My last two laptops have been from Dell and
they have had more problems I can count (I had to reinstall the OS less
than 6 months into buying!) I looked at a couple of laptops good for
gaming and graphics and I saw quite a few Asus and Acer laptops on the
list that looked affordable but I don't know much about those two companies so I'm looking for input?

I am trying not to spend over $1,000 if possible. Any recommendations would be awesome (I'm hoping to try
and find a good Black Friday deal if I can).

It's been spotted in stock.

It has some very nice features such as battery life extension, boots in about 3 seconds and for gamers, a nice CPU and GPU.

This is the new wave of machines with the new features. Not only that but the aluminum case helps with the heat management.
