Back awhile you would write PLEXTOR to such a query but today you go to newegg.com, amazon.com or geeks.com and order one up. Figure well under 88 bucks.

I guess I should have been more clear I know who sells DVD burners I just need to know what would not have any conflict with my laptop.
A while back I purchased an sada hard drive for a desktop and the mounting was totally different. So now I am asking before buying as the places that sell them will only say dell for dell and so on. Thanks.

I've used many makes today to replace IDE DVDRW drives in laptops. The only quibble is about the face plates. Other than that I use the ones form the listed sites.

To match them up I pull the old drive and compare to the new. Never had any trouble past that EXCEPT for OEM software. I expect old versions of ROXIO, NERO to fail but we can replace that.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
