Need my USB icon in tray again??

by moonuser / January 25, 2006 2:26 PM PST

You know that (some-what funny looking) Icon that rests in the tray (right-lower) when we're running USB removeable devices??

It use to be there before my last format and would like to know how to fix it.

Usually a sign of a bum install.

Motherboard drivers are the usual suspect.

I still hope it will be a tweak somewhere !!

Bad install ( don't think so as everything works fine except that small thing).

I must think it's some kind of un-checked box / or tweak somewhere.

Just a copy of the forum note.

If you could provide gritty details of the make/model motherboard and what drivers you installed I would look elsewhere. But it's the most common issue and you haven't removed it as the possibility.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
