Hello everyone.
I came back right after posting. I feel so stupid since it had no issue.
Right after posting I took a look at my laptop and found out it had a physical Bluetooth on/off switch button.
Sorry for bothering.
Hi everyone,
I have this laptop I haven't been using for maybe 4 years.
It is an acer aspire 5738z which has a foxconn bcm92046 Bluetooth module on it. I remember it to work fine when I was using it.
The laptop is fine, everything is working but the bluetooth module is not detected by Windows 7. I disassembled it, found the module, unplugged it, plugged it, it doesn't work. I even did it after turning the laptop on, hoping to hear the device plug in sound, but nothing.
In device manager, nothing appears. Every other devices are working (wifi, ethernet, sound, usb)
So I'd like to know if there is any cheap way to test the Bluetooth module in order to know if it is still functional.
I have no intention to buy a usb bluetooth or replacing it. I just like my stuff to work the right way and find it pitiful to have a bluetooth but not be able to use its functionality.
Thanks.
