You will not find this detail for Windows 7. You'll use Vista entries.
I'm gearing up for Windows 7 and want to do a clean install by formatting my RAID 5 hard drives and then installing Win 7. I've done this before for non-RAID systems, but I'm unsure of the procedure for formatting RAID arrays and then installing the drivers for RAID 5. I've searched online to find some technical instructions to no avail.
The computer is a Gateway 530XT with 3 x 500 GB drives and an Intel 82801GR/GH SATA RAID controller.
I understand that I will probably have to buy the "full" version of Windows 7 and reinstall everything, but after 2-1/2 frustrating years of problems, I figure the initial pain will be worth the effort (assuming Win 7 will be the improvement many say it will be.)
Thanks for your help.
