Need information help! PLEASE!

Aug 3, 2004 1:57AM PDT

I'm not sure what category this question would fall under, so I'm posting in this general forum.

My boss has asked me to research some information for him. He "knows a company that uses SMS for their back office processing."

So, now I have two questions...1) what is "back office processing"? I tried to search on it, but have yet to find any type of defination. And 2) Has anyone heard of SMS? The only SMS I'm familiar with is wireless text messaging.

Any help that anyone can give will be GREATLY appreciated!

Shane

Let it be known I can't use such for the work I do. Our engineers develop software and can't have the IT decide for us if our tools need updating. We keep the gallows well oiled in case an IT staffer wants to muck up the works.

Why don't you just ask your boss what he means? As far as I'm a boss, I certainly don't appreciate my people spending time on the wrong things because they misunderstood me.
