i want too buy dell d600. but i got an info from some other sources and also some other forums that there is an LCD problem in that model which i want oo buy..soo i m worried about this. i like this model and also because my budget allowing this model too purchase.. soo help shold i buy??? and what about the LCD???

Do yourself a favor get yourself a Toshiba, Sony or Lenovo, Core 2 duo and have done with it.

Pick ANY machine and you will find posts with troubles with every component. You'll never find a machine with no bad posts.

Tip: Keep the machine under warranty until you either can pay for replacement or repair.

Statement: Laptops of the Ford or Chevy type are 3 or 4 year type machines. This may upset some but let's get that out on the table.

Yes, machines can last longer but who do you know that treats their machine well, never blocks the air vents and does the YEARLY CLEANING like you see at http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3121_7-6679060-1.html ?
