repair it. If you do it yourself, yes you should be able to do it for under $10; but do you already have the soldering equipments and know how to use them. Why not check into the outlet store again? Never know, you could be lucky.
My brother broke the connector/jack on my Insignia Speakers. They were originally $75 (i got them at an outlet for $25 though) and i dont want to just throw $75 speakers away. Is their anything i can do to fix them that wont cost more than $10-$20 range? Here are some pictures to better help understand the situation. As you can see, it is a clean break.
