Need Help With Receiver Connections

i am having trouble connecting component cables from my receiver to my tv --

I am trying to connect my different systems to my receiver and have them play on my tv without switching cables to do so. i would like to use the component 1 IN and TV/CD IN for my cable box

TV: 47LN5700
Receiver: Tx SR-313

Yes, that seem to be correct.

However, I do not see any input audio connection for component on the tv so the audio will be coming out of the sr-313 only from what I can see.

Well I managed to get sound and picture that that was just w/ composite cables.

If I go composite out to tv
Or
If I go component out to tv

I loose the other. I was hoping there was some type of cable maybe that would let me go component green and composite yellow into one cable that would switch depending on which signal was currently being sent.

What you are hoping is not possible, you don't have that connections on the tv. Are we talking about something else or are we still on the cable box? Now let me understand you are telling me that connecting the component output on the box to component 1 IN and tv/cd IN will not work?

It has been cleared up I need to attempt to split the composite & component video cable.
