Need help with opening YouSendIt download

I've searched thru various threads but cannot find a clearcut answer to how to open YouSendIt downloads (from myself to myself as a test). I am using Windows Media 11. I initiated the upload of three songs in one wave file to YouSendIt. When I download or try to open and play directly, I get the error message that Windows Media cannot find the file, etc. Yet, the downloaded file is supposedly in my library. There is probably a simple answer but I'm not very sharp on this type of transfers, etc. WindowXP Home is my OS. (I've got to leave for now but will return Jan 1. Happy New Year.
