Question

Need help with no display

Hi guys I used to see some posts from this forum and find about a lot of things and finally I have to create an account to ask for help.

My 2 year old PC have no display anymore and give a post code when I open it...1 long beep and 3 short I think it is a video card problem , I change the rams reseat everything but nothing change still 1 long and 3 short beeps .

My setup:
- Motherboard / asus m5a87
-Cpu / amd phenom ii x4 965
-Gpu / amd radeon hd 7770
Ram / 1x4gb kingston

My monitor is working fine , I can't find an solution anywhere

Monitor works with a laptop , I haven't test the video card because it may cause problems in the other PC .
The video card fan is spinning , one thing I have notice is the moment I start the PC when it is connected to a monitor ( have tried with two differ'monitors so far) , it start getting hotter and hotter.When I start the PC with the video card not connected to a monitor I got a 2 medium and then 3 small and then 2 again beeps but the video card is not overheating .

We have other PCs to test cards with and spare cards. Looks like the shop for you.

there's only one thing to do. A new card, should be able to get one for under $40. Good luck.
