Need help with Nero Vision

Oct 2, 2007 2:49AM PDT

I recently got Nero 8 Ultra. While trying to use Nero Vision to make a new disc, when I press "Finalize Disc", it says "Media not supported." I don't really know what it means by "media", but I hope it's not the discs, because I just bought them.

I'm using Sony DVD-R discs, and my disc drive/burner is a "HL-DT-ST DVD+RW GSA-H31N", in a Dell XPS 410 tower with Windows XP SP2.

Thank you.

It sounds like you have a burner that supports only 1 of the 2 'standards' and discs that are formatted for the other.
In a perfect world, there wouldn't be 2 separate standards & disk types, since they really are as similar as coke & pepsi. ...If coke & pepsi could not use each others drinking glasses!
Try picking up a cheap stack, or maybe if you can find one, a single +R disc (even a +RW, so you can test it & erase). You may have better luck.
How do you like Nero8? I'm still on 7 & pretty happy with it.
