Need help with my HP laptop.

My left hinge HP Pavilion dv6000 has cracked and my warranty has expired. What shoueld I do?

He found a chunk of steel and glued the display and the base of the laptop to it and turned the laptop into a desktop. While HP does sell spares such as cases, lid and more what most discover is the prices make it a simple 'is it worth fixing' question.

I think you asked me how to find the parts to fix this. I see another post below (THANK YOU) so try there. But some dismiss going to hp.com and clicking on the chat link.

Try that and after a little of Q and A you eventually get hooked up and can ask where to order parts.

The real bargain is to hit EBAY and try to score a DEAD laptop of the same model as yours to use for donor parts.

-> But I'm making a big assumption you are the do it yourself type.
