Need help with my flash drive

My comp sci teacher gave us these 128 mb flash drives to store hw an stuff on and for some reason it wont work w/my home computer. It worked fine on a friends computer and at school. if u have any suggestions plz send me an email at crazieblakbelt@yahoo.com or just post something on this site. plz go ez with the hardcore comp terms im still new at this.

Are you using Windows XP?

Tell us all that happens when you insert the USB flash drive into your computer. What do you see and hear?

Absolutely nothing happens when i plug it in thats the problem i tried all 4 of my usb ports but the led light in the flash drive wont light up, its supposed to isnt it?

Linkit asked if you were using XP at home. This is a key question. If not,you probably don't have the driver for the flash drive.

Check those USB ports.....

with another USB device. They may be disabled in Device Manager, the Bios or you may have never loaded the mainboards drivers.

all the ports work w/ my mouse and printer just not the flash drive
