Hello I am wondering if a GTX 650 will fit my computer. I have a GTX 610 right now but not sure if it will be compatible

So my specs are:
GPU: GeForce GT 610
CPU: AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon (tm) hd graphics
Ram: 8 GB
Current Display: 1920:1080, 60hz

This is the more detailed computer specs http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03927191

I don't know how much your going to pay for the 650 but if it was me I'd shop around for a GTX 750TI.

I see them for about a 100 bucks.

You'll hit a few issues with the 650.

"Thermal and Power Specs:
98 C Maximum GPU Tempurature (in C)
64 W Maximum Graphics Card Power (W)
400 W Minimum System Power Requirement (W)5
One 6-pin Supplementary Power Connectors"

That's a little more power than the 750's out there so you'll have to have the required PSU power connection and watch out for the usual power issues.

The HP link didn't reveal if it had the power connection and you are running the PSU hard so I'd count on a new PSU now or later. My view is to never press my luck with a PSU.

Amazon's best seller PSUs are about 40 bucks and will do fine.

I missed that 6 pin connection on the card.

If you have that coming from the psu then you should be good.

If not then a dual molex to 6 pin might be an option....might even come with the card.

If that fails your looking at a new psu or moving on to a different card.
