1. Firefox has a Favorites link in the upper left called "Bookmarks". If you choose, you can import the Favorites from Internet Explorer to your Firefox browser a number of different ways...One is by clicking on "Bookmarks", then choose "Manage Bookmarks". When the "Bookmarks Manager" loads, click on "File" in the upper left, choose "Import", then select "Internet Explorer". The Favorites will be transfered to the Bookmarks area.
2. I'm not familiar with your Comcast button, but if it was created through an ActiveX control, then it won't appear on Firefox. Firefox doesn't run ActiveX and therefore some website displays may be slightly different.
3. YES, keep Internet Explorer on the machine. (It's not easy to remove anyway.) A number of sites, specifically, the Windows Updates site, do not function when using Firefox. You'll need Internet Explorer to visit Windows Update.
Hope this helps.
I just downloaded firefox (heard it was better than IE) and I have a rew questions. There is no favorites button and I used this everyday on IE, does firefox have a fav. button or something simmilar? Also I use my basic comcast e-mail, and there used to be a button to add a picture, and now it is gone, can I get that back too? And last, should I keep IE on my computer or get rid of it? thank you
