Need help with dvd ripper asap!

I've recorded some gameplay from a video game, and I need to rip it to my computer. I've gone through THREE programs that claim they are the best dvd rippers, and all of them have frozen and given me the "Program Not Responding". I need one that is extremely easy to use (with either windows movie maker or pinnacle videospin) and is free to use. All help is appreciated!!!

Have you tried recording the game as a stream? You won't be able to rip anything on Windows because of DRM and other preventive measures built into the game dvd.

I'm sorry I really have no idea about all this technical stuff Silly
What do you mean by stream? And why wouldn't I be able to rip the dvd on windows? It's just like a dvd of gameplay that was recorded on a dvd recorder

A stream is a live feed.
If you did record it on a simple device, then why didn't you just copy and convert the file to another format?
If you can't then I don't know anything else to tell you.

How was it recorded?

Using software that creates video DVDs is far different than recording a video and saving it to a DVD as a data file. The latter of which just needs copied to the computer (right-click->Explorer the DVD and copy the file(s) over) and wil always through an error when attempting to rip it. Start with the beginning to determine the end.
