Question

Need help with drastic fps drop on pc games?

Jun 7, 2018 1:16PM PDT

Hi guys i really need your help or i am gonna go nuts.
Short story is that i had a problem with my computer. It would randomly show BSOD(uninteractive ones) in games and i needed to turn off the power to turn off the computer as well. After that i thought i should send it to tech support service because i still had warranty on it. 1 and a half month later they changed my graphics card from AMD Radeon R7 370 to Gigabyte Rx560.After that i only had BSOD once but i have drastic fps drops on every games i try to open.I Changes my settings in cs go to very low and i bearly had 30 fps with lag in offline mode.Same things is with fortnite.I got 30 fps (frame limiter is set to unlimited and i did experiment with it to) but before on medium setting i had around a fair amount (in main menu around 320-450 never looked what it was in game).
My pc specs are:
Cpu:Amd fx 8 core processor (3.5GHz)
Gpu:Gigabyte Rx 560
Psu:Thermaltake 600W
Ram: 16 Gb (2×8 Kingston X Fury (blue ones))
Hdd: 1 Tb WD Blue
SSD: 120 Gb main system disk Also Kingston x Fury

If someone know whats the problem and solution please help i dont know what to do.
And sorry for typing mistakes.(im writting from my phone)

I deleted and installed reccomended gpu drivers (18.5.1) but now in games like fortnite if i want to click auto settings it puts my settings to low(before it would put up all on high),same thing is with no mans sky,and if i change from low to medium or high or even epic i still have 20-ish fps.Note: Frame limiter is set to unlimited.
and here is my Speccy report

Why are you torrenting when you want your best game performance? I find torrent users to often have deeply damaged OSes or trojans. Fortnite is online gaming so torrent while online gaming, makes no sense at all.
Also, be sure to turn off this next thing.

This is for the Speccy report at kLRb0UyAwk3BlPyddPZTlRR

1. Torrent user.
2. The SSD has an odd Smart Value 01 of 00016E53B7
Performance can be impacted when you see this.

3. Be sure your Killer network drivers are current as certain versions leak and eat memory.

In your case this looks like you are not controlling your PC (torrent) or just didn't know it mattered. The SSD rarely gets such errors so something's up there. 01 values when that high usually have the owner complaining about performance.

First step reseat the sata cable both ends twice.

See if anything changes.

If no help replace the sata cable.

If no help replace the ssd.
