need help with dell ispiron 9100

I have a dell inspiron 9100 and I had problems to access the internet first and now it does not even turn on in microsoft, all it does is, that looks like is going to start when you hit the on button but stays in a black screen forever. If anyone knows what I can do to fix the problem, I will appreciate it very much.Thanks.

Yep, my daughter laptop had that also.

The repair shop said they would have to replace the motherboard (that's a USD 400 repair, approximately). We're still thinking about it.
