Question

Need help with computer start up

Mar 27, 2015 6:06AM PDT

I have a gaming PC . I was not home last night and when I came home today and turned it on, It loaded all up like it usually does, loaded past windows and was loading all my start up apps, etc and then just froze and made an ERRRR noise.

It continues to do that when I start up now unless I go to safe mode. It has NEVER done this and i'm not computer savy.

Help??

Answer
What happens when you don't start up with all those apps?

Hmm.

Windows 7. I'll see what I can find out, I just really hope my whole computer isn't dead. Safe mode with networking works fine.

That's what the limited startup helps narrow down.

Just add Windows 7 to the example search.

Sir.. I want to thank you so much. That seems to work. I am not a computer savy guy, but once I unclicked the additional things in start up... it booted up fine and here I am..

With that being said.. what is causing that you think? An app?
