Resolved Question

Need Help with a Virus

Dec 8, 2012 4:36AM PST

I have Windows XP...I use E Acceleration Stop Sign as a Virus control. usually not much activity, but recently it stated that it had found a virus ( trojan-banker.win32.agent.eyl ) and cured it. But it shows up on a daily basis saying it has found this virus, but has cured it. Can anyone advise how I can get rid of it for good? Every night after it scans....I get this message....want to know why if cured, it still comes back. Appreciate any help from anyone out there, Thanks

Try running a Malwarebytes scan in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING and see if you can kick it with that. If you don't have it, download MALWAREBYTES and then as mentioned, run it in safe mode with networking When MWB is finished with the scan, click "show results" and attempt removal of the malware.. The message in question might mean that it is quarantined. Not being familiar with the A/V package you are using I cannot categorically say, some send such to quarantine where they can usually be dealt with by the user, again I am not familiar with your software.
