Need help with a CSS multi level drop down - no navigation

Jun 17, 2009 2:02AM PDT

Hello,

I have programmers that are putting together a site for me in India. I'm wanting a multi level drop down menu and they can't find a great solution. I know they are using CSS, HTML. Every example I've provided (and I'm not close to being a programmer) they have discarded because it's a navigation. Can anyone help??!! Apparently they've been looking for days.

"I'm wanting a multi level drop down menu" but you don't want it to navigate. That's generally what a menu does.

If you want a drop down menu effect, take a regular menu script but don't link it to anything.

What I don't understand is this: if programmers are creating your web site, what are they looking for? They should just write it based on your specs... that's what they're paid to do, not find scripts and implement them.

Good Point

VERY good point. Live and learn I guess. Not so sure I'll be taking this route in the future when I've resorted to posting on boardsHappy

The drop down menu if for a field that represens a location. For example, the first drop down would be a continent, the second would be a geographical region, and the third would be a state. The location is used for search parameters in the site.

Maybe I'm out of my league here trying to understand the issue. Never the less, thanks for taking the time to respond and also raising a good point regarding service. Cheers, S

Do you have an example of what you are looking for?
