Need help. Which one Canon SD 700 IS or Casio EX-Z850

May 6, 2006 1:55PM PDT

I have been looking for a new digital camera. I am looking for a compact camera digital camera takes great pictures and easy to use so my wife can use it. I have narrowed it down to the Canon SD 700 IS and the Casio EX-Z850. They have both received great reviews from what I have read. So I am looking for info from current users of these cameras. The only advantage I give is to the Casio and that is because the price is running $100 cheaper. Is the Canon worth the extra money? The Canon does have the image stabilizer. Any info will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I am down to those choices also.

The Casio does not have anti shake. It has DSP that enables different ISO settings depending on the light situation.

The Cannon has anti shake that audgusts to your hand shaking.

One interesting thing is the Casio has manual focus if you like.
