T3104 Upgrade
by dbnc / April 8, 2008 2:49 PM PDT

So you want to upgrade your T3104? First it will never be a great gamer so get a new computer isn't bad advice. Games like Crysis will eat this box alive, even upgraded. If you must upgrade and want to play games start with memory. Max for T3104 is 2Gb. Recommend 2 1Gb sticks from Ebay. PC 3200 low density. Next CPU, K8M800-M motherboard supports up to Athlon 64. Recommend 3700 or 3600 for socket 754 with 1024 L2cache. Google instructions for installing new CPU. Next Video card, recommend 512Mb card at least for today's games. Must be AGP, Direct X 9 is preferable. Disable on board video in Device Manager. Control Panel\Performance Maintenance\System\Hardware Tab\+ sign next to display adapters\click on SG3 and check disable this device. Remove SG3 from add remove programs. Install card + reboot. Follow Instructions that came w/card. Last Bios, EMS makes K8M800-M, Download latest bios version from their website and install with the included winflash utility. First change Bios lock jumpers from pins in bottom right of board. Google Bios jumpers. There you have it your T3104 is Maxed out.
