Need help uninstalling Ubuntu...

Mar 21, 2007 6:53PM PDT

I wonder if anyone could help me ASAP ...?

Out of curiosity I installed Ubuntu Linux on my secondary Mac laptop, which is an iBook 12" 1.2 GHz G4, OS 10.3, 256MB RAM. I used it like that for a few weeks to get familiar with Linux a bit.
Now we have decided to sell this laptop and someone agreed to buy it, however I need to get it restored to it's original state.

The problem is, when I restarted the laptop with the original OSX CD, it starts up than I have to click agree once or twice, and then asks me to choose the destination drive. There are no options!! Which makes me think that Ubuntu Linux has formatted the drive completely, so the restore CD can not even see it?

I need to get this fixed quickly, please, let me know what I can do, and walk me through it if you could!?

Thank you in advance!

Rod

But given you may not have a "real" XP CD that is the one that Microsoft makes versus System Restore CDs your choices are limited. You may not have the tools to boot to the system restore command line to run FIXMBR.

As such your repair is limited to what Compaq gave you.

Well Thanks For the help... The destructive recovery wiped Ubuntu from my drive, but my computer is still partitioned... So I just I just transfered my Documents over to the Now unused partition... So that will work out nice... Thanks for your help everyone...
