Feb 6, 2009 5:40AM PST

Someone just gave me a used Toshiba Portege M200 Tablet PC. I noticed that it doesn't seem to have a DVD or CD drive. How am I suppose to load software on it? Do I have to buy an external drive, and if so do I have to buy a certain one. I mean does it have to be toshiba and a certain model number? HELP!!

But I've used USB 2.0 DVDRW drives to boot from and reinstall.

Be sure to collect those restore media (CD or DVD) before you need them.

HI BOB. Thanks. I found out form researching that it does need an external drive. I found one fairly cheap though.I mean I got the thing for free so I don't mind spending 50 or so bucks on it.

For a new HP DVDRW USB 2.0 Lightscibe external. So with that budget you should be fine.
