Need help starting out on WoW

Feb 8, 2007 6:23AM PST

I just started my first character in warcraft: a Night Elf Druid on the 'alliance'. I am on level 6 and am experiencing a little bit of trouble..

- I never have 'proficiency' to use swords... and I dont know how to improve this
- Is the "world" vast and endless? because I cant seem to get very far out of Shadowglen
- I've learned everything from the Druid trainer.. now how do i get new powers.

sry of this sounds nubish, im just new Sad
Would love any help

Alex

1. Druids can't become proficient with swords
2. The Night Elf starting area is, imo, horrible (never got past lvl 10 on my night elf; mainly because I'm a horde loyalist I guess, and also that its so far away from any main city) But as you will later find out, the world is expansive but by in no means endless.
3. At Lvl 10 you will get your first class quest (which in your case gives you the Bear Form ability)

I'd recommend testing out different races/classes. And if you're stuck somewhere on a quest check out www.thottbot.com , but in terms of general information try out the official forums

Where to go

If you can't get anymore quests from the starting area, simply follow the road until you hit another town. That's how all starting areas are. There you'll be able to get past level 10ish and you can head out to another area.
