Need help sorting podcasts on iTunes - Won't sort correctly

May 27, 2008 7:14AM PDT

When I try to import podcasts from "Coast-To-Coast", it comes in four parts.

The problem is when I import parts 1,2,3 and 4, it puts them out of order on both iTunes and when I move them onto my iPod. It comes out in 3,2,4,1 order or other various combinations.

I know when it comes to music playlists, if I click on the column heading in iTunes, it will sort them in numerical order, but that function appears to be disabled when it comes to podcasts.

It used to automatically put them in order, but when I upgraded to the latest edition of iTunes, it stopped doing it.

Does anybody know what setting I need to switch in order to be able to sort and import in numerical order for podcasts again?

Thanks.

Another thing

It won't let me drag & drop the files into another order. That seems to be disabled.

Is this a metadata issue or what?

Thanks...

If it won't let you drag files

into another order, this would indicate that there is some sort of ordering process going on in the view that you have displayed.

Try scrolling to the right and see if there are any columns that you cannot see, in your normal window size, and see if they are doing the sorting.

Just a thought
