need help...something wrong with my CPU or something

hi, two days ago my comp froze all of a sudden(curser) so i restarted my
comp. at the welcome screen of windows it froze again, so i restarted
again, this time it was just black, i restarted once more and it froze up
at the booting process. after trying again now my monitor says no
signal. i know it's not the monitor since i tried my sons at it didn' work
either. when trying to boot it as said the monitor won't get signal but
the computer gets power it's trying to "think" (red light flashing) but
it won't boot (usb not available and keybord won't lit...etc....)

please help me...!!!! thanks!

If you system does have the plain AthlonXP type CPU, that suggests its an older system. In this case, if Robert's suggestion is correct, you "caps" have died from old age and/or were part of the bad manufacturing batch of caps some time ago. Regardless, older system tend to get weak and start making problems. I suggest you inspect the mtrbd. very closely for bulging, blown, burst, leaking caps(use google for examples) and just replace the PSU with a unit at least 100W better than current one. Your problem is minicked by others than are related to what I just mentioned, but doing the above is safe bet to correct your problem. Even, if is doesn't it suggest to think system replacement, either mtrbd. or as the case maybe due to costs as a real prolonged fix.
