I hope you didn't pay over $80 for the camera, because that is just about what it is worth.
There is a website for Megxon products:
http://www.megxon.com/products/S304/S304.htm
This camera is often advertised as a 12 megapixel camera.
It is a 3.1 megapixel camera.
For best picture quality, set the camera for 2048 x 1536 (which is 3.1 megapixels).
......
The EV (exposure compensation) setting should rarely be needed.
Here is an explaination:

For the most part - leave it alone.
.............
That camera uses Alkaline AAA batteries, which will have a very short life. For longer life batteries, you can buy rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries. They will last approximately 3 to 4 times longer that Alkaline AAA batteries. And they are rechargeable.

If you want a good low cost camera with no optical zoom (similar to the one you bought):
Here are products that are backed by major camera Manufacturers:
Canon SD20
Canon A310
Fujifilm A120
Kodak CX7300
Kodak C310
Olympus D395
Olympus D425
Olympus D435
Sony P41

I just got a Megxon s304 and I am trying to figure out the best setting to get the best pictures possible with this camera. The book that came with the camera is no help to me is the size section in the settings how you get the mega pixel choice? and when I set the flash on it you can also change the EV (whatever that is) from -2.0 to +2.0 what is this and what does it do?
This definatley isn't a point and shoot camera for me. I should have done my homework and this before bidding on it but I didn't and now I have to learn to live with this camera. I just need help in figuring it out. Thanks for any help you can give me.
