Need Help, Really Confused with Info Link and PC Share

Dec 7, 2008 5:07AM PST

Ok I am really confused here.

First, I have a LN52A750R1FXZA and have all the firmware and software updates.
I am confused with the difference between Info Link and Wise Link Pro.

I have the Samsung Wireless Lan Adapter. I also have PC Share Manager 1.4.2

So here are my questions.

When I connect my 750 through the Lan to my Linksys Router and start the PC Share Manager the only folder I can access is My Documents.
Am I to assume PC Share Manager will not share any other folder or hard drive? I am trying to share my F:\ drive.

Next question can I use the Wireless Lan Adapter to connect to my PC with PC Share Manager instead of the ethernet cable?

Thanks,

Leo

Leo:

1. You cannot share entire drives. The items you share must only be files or folders. I tried sharing my S drive the other day and noticed this problem. A way you can solve this is creating a drive called "F root" on your F drive, then moving everything into "F root". Share "F root" folder. Sort of dirty but it works.

2. DNLA (PC Share Manager) does not work with wireless - it must be wired.

And a few more.

InfoLink is the wireless ability to connect to your home's wireless internet to get up-to-date news, stocks and local weather. That's the limitation of the function, and the only wireless feature of the television.

WiseLink is two technologies.
1. Allows you to play music, pictures on a Fat16/32 formatted thumb-drive.
2. Allows ethernet access to your computer.

I hope that clears up some of the terminology, but if you need help, keep me posted. I may not be able to instantly answer *everything*, but I do have a firm working knowledge of our products and can get additional assistance if necessary.

Our forum members have working experience with these as well, and are also an extremely valuable resource. People helping each other is what the forum is all about!
