Need Help PLEASE Macbook hard drive replace

Can someone help. PLEASE Macbook running OS X 10.6.8 I was trying to reload Mavericks.
Had tried everything I could try online. There was no Recovery disk.
After a few hours I did something I prob. should have not done.
Started the macbook up from an External drive. Operating system for a differ Mac. Then using disk utility I formatted the internal Drive.
But was not abel to start over the internet like I was shown. AGAIN PLEASE HELP its my daughters and she is not happy with me.
