Need help picking out christmas present

Nov 17, 2008 12:47AM PST

I want to get my mother an mp3 player for Christmas, and am having a little trouble deciding which to get. My mom has recently taken to walking on a treadmill, and a couple of other forms of mild exercise. Lately, she has been borrowing my iriver clix to listen to while she exercises, (though she has begun listening to it at other times) therefore I have decided on a flash-based player. Also, her eyesight is deteriorating as she ages, and, even though she will be getting some glasses soon, I want a player with an easy-to-read screen, and a nice, large font. I also want the best sound quality possible within my budget, and without sacrificing other features. Video playback is unnecessary, as is support for audiobooks, or even photos. What I do want is fm radio, and, preferably, fm radio recording. Finally, I want to spend no more than 100 dollars on the player itself, though this is not set in stone. Right now I am looking at the Sansa Fize (which I really like because of its' memory expansion slot), and the Microsoft Zune 2-8 gb (there are some deals on ebay). Any suggestions?
