The Qosmio X500 gaming laptop is fitted with a Blu-ray burner. While I personally avoid packing so much into a laptop my crystal ball is that these are the last years of physical media such as CD/DVD/BR. We'll see.

As the title says, I'm in the market for a new laptop. Price really isn't an issue but I'd still like to keep under $2500. I need a desktop replacement with a blu-ray writer / burner. I know this is rare but it's catching on. I'd also like one with a TV tuner built into it. And finally I'd like something with a backlit keyboard. I know the Toshiba Qosmio may fit the bill but it just reads BR discs and not write them plus it may not have a TV tuner built-in. I do NOT like Sony Vaio's so that is NOT an option I'll consider. Ironically that brand may be the only one that has all the features I want. And yes, I've tried CNET's laptop finder search and it only resulted in a handful of Sony Vaio's. In any case, please list your picks here. Thanks!
