No other superzoom has a constant f2.8 lens.
And the next model, FZ1000, has already been announced. The drawback for you is that it will cost roughly twice your alloted budget. (It's also really big, like DSLR big, which means it probably won't get passed security at most professional concerts.)

Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade on my Sony DSC H20, which I've had for just over 4 years. I'm not a die hard photographer, just the usual family events/concerts/sports etc. indoor and outdoor.
I have been looking at the Sony HX 400, Canon SX 50, Panasonic Lumix FZ 200 and FZ 70 but am really stuck between these 4.
The FZ200 is a 2012 model, so my fear is there will be a newer release once I purchase, and I intend on buying one this month.
Ideally would like to be below or around the $500 range.
