Need help on Panasonic projection TV selection

Dec 14, 2004 6:05AM PST

I am throughly confused! I was looking for a Panasonic 47" projection TV that has a cablecard slot and built in HD tuner. It turns out thatPanasonic has 3 models: (they all look the same and have the same features that I could tell)

PT-47XD64
PT-47WXD64
PT-47WXD63

Does anyone know what's the difference between them? They are all similarly price too!

Thanks
Alan

Alan,

Let me ask you this? What are you using for your tv signal? Off air antenar, cable, or satelite dishs? If you 're using calbe or satelite dish then my recommended is not to buy a tv with build in tunner. It will become useless if you not using off the air signal. Beside that will saved you a coupld of hundred bucks.

The "W" follow the model number are model sepecify for Warehouse seller such as Sam's or Costco.

Right now I've got cable and most likely will stay with cable. I've thought about getting something without all the built-ins, but thought that I might be better off down the line with the cablecard slot and built in HD tuner.

Here is my other thought; get a rear projection LCD and get nothing built in. Do you think I can get a 40 something inches LCD rear projection for under $2,000?
