I am looking for a miniDV camcaorder with budget less than $400, mostly to be used for family events. Low-light performance, easy-use and portability, are picture-quality within price range are th emost desired fearures. Under considerations are Cannon Elura 65, JVC GR DX-77, JVC GR DX-97, and JVC GR D230. As the JVC GR D230 has the biggest CCD, I read some review with comments like "While JVC is known for its dominance in the low-light performance market, this camcorder doesn?t fare as well as other JVC models", does it mean that its low-light performance is worse than, say, JVC GR DX-77. The low-light performance is really important to me as I have been suffering a lot when using my Olympus c5040 to take indoor pictures of my little son without flashes. Any comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated by a real newbie like me. I need to make decision very soon. Thanks in advance.
