Feb 25, 2006 11:08PM PST

i need something like a tivo but with no subscription cause i believe tivo isnt available here in the philippines..

i need something that can let me pause, rewind and forward live tv and could also let me record shows while simultaneously watching other channels/shows.
plus that it could let me manually record shows by setting the time and channel....

any suggestions would be appreciated..

The Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD DVR Will Do It.....

...But you'll likely have to move to the USA to get it. Here in NYC Time Warner Cable has it. It has two tuner, can record one show while you watch another or it can record two separate shows while you play back something already recorded.

Pretty cool but I don't know if there's any equivalent in the Phillipines.
