I can tell you one person who DIDN'T win on the HHD.........LOL
(but Karma rocks, and I stumbled my way into getting a Wii early on...sorry Molly)

I was thinking, and please don't take this the wrong way. I would think that while winning a nice TV was nice and all, wouldn't there be all kinda of more meaningful, and important in the grand scheme of things to be easy to write about. Of course, I can't is after all your life, but I would find it much easier to write about an event in my life that had situation(s) leading up to it, the event itself, and what the event means to you/what you learned from it.

Just my silly opinion.

You see, writing an essay about yourself should be something important. As much as winning a HDTV is, it's not exactly life changing, or something which makes you think. In fact, winning a HDTV is awesome, but it's a one liner, not an essay.

"I won a HDTV" says everything you need to say. The rest will be just "fluff" which isn't real content at all. One of the main things when writing an essay is an interesting topic. I'm happy you got the HDTV and all, but how does that tell me anything about you? How does that show me your personality? How does it really do anything other than make me jealous of your luck?

Think of a topic that was life changing. Something as simple as getting a pet, or learning a lesson to not cheat on tests, or lie can go a long way when writing an essay.

I've been there as well, and I'm still writing essays. Getting ideas is hard, but try not to think about the essay, think about what matters to you the most, or something you've done in your life that you are proud of. Winning a HDTV is nice, but go beyond material things and think of something that helped you as a person.

Just my 2 cents on it.

Not to disagree but, I disagree.

"I lived" could sum up my entire life and yet a few more interesting things happened along the way.

Winning an HDTV can be worth an essay. Just look at your post on why it's not worth an essay. Happy
