update the Bios
Step two>>>
if step one does not resolve the problem you likely have bad hardware, refer to your warranty.
i just bought a new computer from globalcomputinginc.com, and it came today. it has an Asus A7V8X-X motherboard. i bought it without an operating system, and i have a windows xp home edition cd. unfortunately, there is a problem loading it. first, i tried loading it, and it would start the automatic setup, and then, at one specific section in the beginning of the setup, the computer's power would shut down, and then i would have to unplug the power, then plug it in again, otherwise it wouldnt turn on. then i fiddled with bios mode, and it said there was a problem with the frequency or something, that the minimum frequency was 333 or something. i am doing this from memory, because i am switching back and forth the surge protector, so i cant have both powered on at the same time without a risk. anybody have a clue? or the same motherboard and operating system? please help.
