Please try to run AVG remover:
for 32bit OS
for 64bit OS
If that still does not help I would suggest reinstalling your network card driver.
Bugs in programs are not meant to convince users to buy them, nor does that sounds like an idea that would get anyone more customers.
I recently downloaded and installed AVG free 2011 (Windows Vista, Dell Inspiron 1504) and scanned my computer once. Upon next login, received message from User Account Control advising to either continue install or cancel, figuring it was nothing, clicked cancel, after couple of days of this, I was no longer able to get online, every time I tried, message was "Internet Explorer unable to connect...with error advising me that I was not logged on as the administrator, to logout and complete the install. I have attempted just about everything, unistalled and deleted every piece of AVG I could find, system restore, etc, still nothing, time warner its a bug in AVG to get you to buy the software, please help?
