How about a Nokia E or N series handset?
by Pepe7 / September 15, 2008 8:38 AM PDT

I assume you will be using the phone outside the U.S.? If so, you have a lot more options. A Nokia might fit your needs- start here:

Is there some other model available?

Hi,
Yes. I am not residing in US. I am from India.

I am sorry, I forgot to add that i am looking for a basic model having these features. As i said Bluetooth and Camera are optional. Few things i am concerned about are call log, MP3, FM, Card Slot and USB.

I had a look at N81 which costs around 330 USD.

Is there any model which costs somewhere between 100 to 150 USD with the above features? If so please let me know.

I dont think Sony Ericsson has the option to store the call log. I am anyhow looking forward to buy a Nokia model.

Thanks a lot.

Due diligence on your part...
by Pepe7 / September 16, 2008 5:18 AM PDT

Since you are shopping for the phone, start by perusing the Nokia site and write down their models that all meet your requirements. Don't forget to look in the user guide online to see about the call logging, as I'm not 100% certain of that feature. After that, you can price shop where you live, or maybe in the U.K. I don't know if places like Newegg.com ship to India, or for that matter, offer non-North American models which you would need. I'm on the wrong side of the pond to be able to help you w/ price(!)

Hi Pedro,

Thanks for that info. You are certainly true in what you have said. There are lots of models which are available in India but not in US and vice-versa. I think Nokia manufactures the mobile based on the customer base and also the tastes of the customers.

I have looked at the Call log feature of all the phones that i was looking for with the above features. Let that be a 100$ model or 300$ model, it just says:
Logs: Keeps lists of your dialed, received, and missed calls

But in certain models all the details are present including the duration, but in some they are not.

I assume the call duration gets stored in the phone that has the OS in it. I have Nokia Ngage QD which has the duration getting stored. I beleive its because of the OS. Please let me know if you have any clues about the same.

And thanks a lot once again for replying me.

With Regards,

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
