Need help in choosing a DVD Recorder

Dec 3, 2005 1:36AM PST

I am getting ready to purchase some kind of DVD Recorder. I want to use it to just play DVD movies, transfer my VHS-C tapes to DVD and I also want to be able to watch my JPEG pictures that I have downloaded from my computer on TV. The DVD player that I have now will not let me watch JPEG files. Can someone please help me in choosing the right kind of format. I want something half way decent so that I don't have to replace it with something else next year. Appreciate any help that I can get. To confusing for me to figure out what I need.

Philips DVD
Dec 3, 2005 8:49AM PST

I have been looking at a Philips DVD Recorder (DVDR615) from Circuit City. Does anyone have one of these, can you put CD/R or CD/RW with photos in it from your computer. Called the Philips manufacturer and they didn't know any more about it then I did. Going shopping tomorrow, so I really need some help tonight on what to buy.
