About the DSLR. My son went that route but also ran into the usual overheating issue at about 40 to 60 minutes of use. Lucky for him he has borrowed my Kodak 990 which fills in, in the pinch.
-> But that is not all. The audio track is captured with a Tascam DR-07MKII and mixed in later at post production.
The Zoom is similar so you should end up with good audio work.
For now, just about any 1080p camcorder of a known make should be fine.

Hey everyone, Im Valentin, a musician (lead guitar). I have been recording youtube videos for 4 years. Right now Im recording my videos with a webcam (that gives acceptable results) and in live I depend on friends with smartphones (which video results are OK at best).
Now I want to buy a new video camera for better video performance, and record live performances aswell.
For sound I will most likely be bying an external recorder (set my eyes on Zoom H2n).
I found Sony HDR-CX290E which seems to deliver a pretty good image but a good friend of mine really reccomends me to buy a DSLR camera.
My budget would be around 350-400$.
Im not an expert in video recording and Im hoping that you guys can help me.
Unfortunately the mods found my YT channel link as spam and closed the previous thread. However I still need help in choosing a camcoder to purchase so Im posting this thread again(as the headline in the moderators messege was "Try again").
