Can be wiring or amp issues. Not usually a setting. But for me if this was mine I would take the last chance to get Windows 10 on it then after activation do a clean install. If still slow I'd consider installing a SSD instead of the usual HDD. All this is mildly middle of the road work but for those that don't it's asking too much.
And with repair rates being what they are, you may want to go shopping.
To start off with I am a computer Noobie but I know my way around a computer and can usually fix my own issues.
I have a 4 year old lenovo yoga pro 2 and just recently have noticed it was slowing down, especially when on websites where I have to scroll through lists of items ( Ebay, Amazon Etc...). I first tried cleaning up my computer and getting rid of programs that are not needed and such. I then switched to a new browser just to see if things were only slow on chrome but firefox is the same way. I also had geek squad run a complete online cleanup of my computer and still not much improvement. So now I am seeking advice on what to do next.
Is it time for a new computer? or is there anything I can do/buy to help give the laptop some more life and speed. Please let me know if you need any specs or info about my computer.
I am running windows 8 and my internet is about 50mb per second which I think should be plenty fast.
On a side note just this week it seems like the right side speaker has stopped working, if anyone knows how to fix that I would gladly appreciate it!
