It's like trying a little NASCAR racing with your dad's car. Take a gander at this recent post -> http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7587_102-0.html?forumID=69&threadID=282026&messageID=2692836
To get gaming, that's about the right price point.
Ok well, I am looking to buy a laptop for my personal use. I'm pretty much going to use it for Internet browsing, Multimedia playing, and maybe a little bit of gaming on the side. Not hardcore gaming, pretty much Counter Strike: Source and Counter Strike: Condition Zero. I'll be downloading all of my media, and I want to have at least 1gb of RAM and that is pretty much it because I will upgrade myself to 4gb of RAM. I deffinetly want a processor with 2 cores and preferably Intel Core 2 Duo. I don't really care what brand name it is as long as it has the specifications. It can also be used, but not more than for 1 year. I have a budget of about $1,000 and not a penny more. So if anyone can help me find the perfect laptop for me. THANK YOU!!! (And if I land under budget and still can afford the 4gb of RAM, someone might get a tip from me through PayPal.
