change something...
"Good low light" typically means LARGE lenses (60mm or larger lens filter diameter) and LARGE imaging chips - preferably, a 3CCD or 3CMOS imaging chip system that is 1/3" or larger.
The starting point is the Sony HDR-FX7.
"Good sound" is more than the ability to add an external mic. It means having manual audio control. I *think* the least expensive that have this are the Sony HDR-HC9, HDR-CX550, Canon HV40, HF M series and HDF S series. The lenses are relatively small - the Canon HF S and Sony HDR-CX550 are around 58mm, while the HC9 and HV40 are in the 37mm filter diameter range. The HDR-FX7 also has manual audio control and an audio input jack.
So... can you please define what a "kinda low" budget is? Less than or more than $1,000?
We also don't know what you will be doing with the video after being captured, and we have no idea if editing is in your plans - if so, we need to know computer details...
I was looking into getting a decent camera,
what i'm looking for
-good low light quality
-good resolution
-can do good sound(mic jack)
so my budget is kinda low, but what should i be asking or what kind of camera should i be interested in. I hear that sony has good low lighting but still not sure.
any help would be awesome,
