Need Help deciding on which Mac to buy

Hi, I am new to this forum and would like some advice. I am a graphics artist using Photoshop CS on a sony Laptop running windows XP with the following specs. 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor, 15.4 screen. Bought this laptop in college about 4 years ago but its bogging down now and I would like to get a Mac. I totally do not know which one would allow me to do large Photoshop applications with better speed and video. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
