by Kevlar14 / March 14, 2007 9:28 AM PDT

The GigaBeat has a lot of memory, but not a lot of features at the iriver has. although i dont have a lot of music to listen to, i also want to make sure that even if i put videos, movies, etc in an iRiver it won't go full too fast. would a gigabeat be better for me or an iriver?

Ill allways go for the most capacity because you dont want to buy new mp3 player everytime u need more memory. As for the gigabeat, are you talking bout the s30/s60, because toshiba hasnt released one single firmware for them, i heard these players have lots of battery problems.

Toshiba Gig

Gig has no features? It allows you to peer to peer share your digital photos/ video to the gig, it has fm radio, it plays tv shows or movies off your tivo, it plays mpeg4 movies clear like hd on a 2.5 screen, put thousands of photos on it, mad music all on a 60 gig. And it has no features like the iriver? And people keep talking about the battery life... thats only when u play video and expect 7 hrs of straight play from it and it only gives u 2 1/2 hrs. How long can one watch a video anyways??? Question 2... what job site, train or plain dont have a A/C outlet? Question 3...why would one leave home with any mp3 player and forget to bring a cord knowing u gonna be gone more then 5/6 hrs. Again...that short battery life is only on video play. Radio and music get at least 12.
